About Born Learning

United Way Born Learning is a set of tools that equip parents, caregivers and communities to create early learning opportunities for young children. Designed to support parents in their critical role as a child’s first teacher, Born Learning is a long-standing resource used across the United Way network.

United Ways adapt Born Learning depending on local needs, focus and capacity – whether in the United States or globally. Many are connecting parents and caregivers with local resources, programs and supports. Others are working with hospitals, pediatricians and human service agencies, libraries, and museums to include Born Learning educational material in partners’ activities. And some are using Born Learning tools to drive lasting community change in support of young children and their families.
